About

Meet Brittany

Owner & Head Trainer

Hi,

I’m Brittany Balagna Nystedt and I am committed to creating a truly exceptional experience for your child to connect with the world of horses.

I know firsthand what a positive experience horseback riding lessons can be for a child. Young riders learn the essential skills to become an excellent equestrian while building confidence, discipline, and empathy along the way.

Responsibility, perseverance, and commitment are key life skills I emphasize in my programs. These are disciplines I am intentional to instill in riders while they learn in the barn and on the horse.

Riders will learn best practices in both the Academy and Show Programs, which have been shaped by my time working for and learning under top leaders in the industry.

My background in elementary education combined with over a decade of professional experience training horses has uniquely equipped me to create an individualized program tailored to your child’s specific needs.

I am excited for you and your child to join us here at Meadow Brook Stables.

Meet Katie

I am Katie Walsh, a 24 year old trainer and instructor. I am Married with a 1.5 year old son! Horses have always been a passion of mine and I currently own a 7 year old Morgan horse!

I began riding Saddleseat when I was 8 years old and have since fallen in love with the sport. I have shown from my jr. exhibitor years to my professional years in the Morgan horse industry. I have shown horses in almost every division; huntseat, saddleseat, roadster, & in hand.

Aside from my show career, I began teaching a couple lessons around the age of 16. Since then my experience and knowledge has grown to be able to teach any age and any level rider. My favorite part about teaching is watching the love for the sport grow in the rider because it is the same love that has made me the trainer I am today.
